- Questions About The Themesite
- 2.1. The Themesite doesn't seem to work on my device?
1.1. I would like to donate to the LRC. How do I do this?
We are able to accept donations either online or by post. For online donations using a credit/debit card, we use the popular payment provider PayPal. For donations via post, we require you to submit a Supporter Registration Form along with your donation and an SAE. For all donation options, click here.
1.2. Can my donation be refunded?
Once you have accepted the terms and conditions and your payment has been authorised it is not possible to refund a donation.
1.3. Why is there a minimum donation amount of £1?
Every donation we process (whether by post or online) involves us having to pay processing and transaction charges to our bank and/or online payment provider. Currently the minimum donation amount is set at £1 to allow for these service charges. There is no upper donation limit.
1.4. Can I make a donation by cash via the post?
Unfortunately, we're unable to take responsbility or make any guarantees for post being delivered to us safely. We're all too familiar with letters going astray in the postal service and wouldn't recommend sending cash or coins via untracked post. For further advice and information about sending cash via Royal Mail, please click here. Unfortunately, in the event your donation fails to materialize we're unable to proceed with processing your Supporter application.
1.5. Can I become a Joint Supporter with my wife/spouse/partner/dog etc...
Unfortunately we are unable to accept joint supporters as identity numbers and themesite logins are allocated on an individual basis. The individual supporter identity is necessary when operating competitions and contests and in order to distribute prizes, reserve theatre and event seat placements, and so on.
2.1. The Themesite doesn't seem to work on my device?
The Themesite portion of the LRC website is built uses a programming language called Flash which requires a third-party plugin called Adoble Flash Player to work. If your computer doesn't have the Flash Player natively installed, you can install the required plugin for yourself simply by visiting: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. Unfortunately, whilst most PCs and computers are able to display Flash-based websites, some portable devices are not compatible (especially touch-screen based mobile and tablet devices). We are currently looking into developing a Themesite not based on Flash technology and so hopefully it won't be too long until you will be able to access the site in all devices, but until then, non-compatible mobile devices will only be able to display the Information Centre.
